Description

Indicates an unequal partnership, as when (in traditional Chinese culture) a young maiden enters a marriage as a second wife to an older but prosperous man. This imbalance in a relationship is emphasized in my drawing by making the man a skeleton, since the imbalance can be unhealthy for both parties. However if you find yourself in an unequal partnership (of any kind) you can make it better by being aware of the power dynamics and taking steps to mitigate them. This artwork is part of a series by Denise Weaver Ross based on the 64 hexagrams (made up of six yin and yang lines) of I Ching, the 2000-year-old Chinese divination system.
